I painted these tipis long ago.
The word “tipi” is from the Lakota language ~ ti meaning “to dwell” ~ add pi and it means “they dwell”. Lakota verbs can be used as nouns and this is the case with típi, which just means “house”. From Wapedia

I love the sepia tones of this painting. It speaks of burnt sienna, titanium white and a touch of ultramarine blue…
